Turn links and text into ready-to-use QR codes.
How does QR Code Generator work?
This tool turns any link or block of text into a scannable QR code image, generated directly in your browser, with a choice of error correction level and a one-click PNG download. The QR code encodes exactly what you type — it does not shorten or track the link.
How to use it
- Paste a URL or type the text you want to encode.
- Choose an error correction level — Medium works for most cases, High is safer if you plan to print small or add a logo on top.
- Click "Generate QR code", then use "Download PNG" to save the image or scan it directly from the screen to test it.
Common use cases
- Adding a scannable link to a printed flyer, poster or business card.
- Sharing a Wi-Fi network name or a contact link without typing it out.
- Linking to a menu, portfolio or event page from physical signage.
Frequently asked questions
Does the QR code expire?
No. It is a static code that encodes your text or link directly, so it keeps working for as long as the destination itself works.
What does the error correction level do?
It controls how much of the code can be damaged, smudged or partially covered (for example by a logo) while still scanning correctly — higher levels are more resilient but produce a slightly denser code.
